Frequently Asked Questions
Still Have A Question?
Send us a message and we will reply as soon as we can.
Ask UsWhat is the Descript Black Friday 2026 deal?
The Black Friday 2026 deal applies Descript's standard annual billing discount, cutting the Hobbyist plan from $24/mo to $16/mo, roughly a 33% saving compared to monthly billing.
Is there a Descript promo code for Cyber Monday?
No promo code is typically required. The lower annual rate applies automatically once you select yearly billing at checkout, similar to how Descript structured its 2025 holiday pricing.
Does Descript offer a free trial?
Descript doesn't run a separate trial; instead it offers a permanent Free plan with 1 hour of transcription monthly so you can test the editor before subscribing.
How many transcription hours does each Descript plan include?
Free includes 1 hour monthly, Hobbyist includes 10 hours, and Creator includes 30 hours, with Business offering higher limits for teams producing more content.
Is AI Overdub voice cloning included on every plan?
Overdub access is limited on the Free plan but becomes fully available starting on the Hobbyist tier, letting you regenerate mispoken words in your own cloned voice.
What happens to Descript pricing after the sale ends?
Once the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window closes, plans return to standard monthly and annual rates, so locking in annual billing now secures the discounted rate through 2027.
Can teams collaborate on projects in Descript?
Yes, the Creator plan supports collaboration for a few editors, while Business adds admin controls and brand consistency tools for larger production teams.
